一个将近40岁的女人杰妮爱上一个约15岁的男孩，他是她女儿的同班同学。他尝试与她分享自己对电子游戏的狂热，尤其是“功夫大师”。在这个游戏里，一位蹦蹦跳跳的拳师必需解救一位被捆绑的年轻少女。这是一部“家庭影片”，片中所有的亲属、包括同学关系和住宅都是真的。法国观众也许更容易体会到这部影片游走在现实与虚构之间的趣味。就像电子游戏一样，本片的拍摄也是一个“游戏”。最后，男孩救出了被绑架的少女，瓦尔达也凭借她在真实与游戏之间周旋的能力，也将本片从庸俗与禁忌中拯救出来。
